Minecoins to USD Converter

Turn Minecoins into dollars, or dollars into Minecoins, at Minecraft's official prices. Then see what it costs in weeks of your child's allowance.

In short

How much do Minecoins cost in 2026?

Minecoins cost about 57 to 62 cents per 100, depending on the pack. The official US prices are 320 Minecoins for $1.99, 1,020 for $5.99, 1,720 for $9.99, 3,500 for $19.99 and 8,800 for $49.99. The bigger packs include bonus coins, but the saving is small.

You can only buy whole packs, so what a Marketplace item really costs depends on how many Minecoins your child already has. Enter the price below to see the cheapest packs and what it adds up to in weeks of allowance. Prices checked September 2026.

Worth a week of allowance? Let them decide

On their own phone or tablet, your child sees their allowance balance and takes on quests designed to show how money can grow in the Penny Time app. You set the allowance and approve each cash-out request.

Minecoin prices in 2026

These are the five Minecoin packs sold on minecraft.net and in the Minecraft Marketplace, at US prices. The coin counts include the bonus coins on the bigger packs.

Price Minecoins Per 100 Minecoins
$1.99320$0.62
$5.991,020$0.59
$9.991,720$0.58
$19.993,500$0.57
$49.998,800$0.57

Unlike Robux or V-Bucks, the packs barely differ in value: 62 cents per 100 in the smallest pack and 57 cents in the biggest. So there is little reason to buy a big pack "for the deal". Buy what the item costs and no more. Marketplace Pass, Minecraft's content subscription, is listed at $3.99 a month after a free 30 days, and it keeps renewing until someone cancels it.

Two rules worth knowing: Minecraft says all Minecoin purchases are final and cannot be refunded, and Minecoins only work in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, not Java Edition.

Minecoins to USD: common amounts

Skins, worlds and texture packs are priced in Minecoins, but you can only buy whole packs. Here is the cheapest way to get at least each amount, starting from zero.

Minecoins needed Cheapest packs Cost
320320$1.99
500320 + 320$3.98
1,0001,020$5.99
1,5001,720$9.99
2,0001,720 + 320$11.98
3,0001,720 + 1,020 + 320$17.97
5,0003,500 + 1,720$29.98

How many Minecoins $10, $20, $25 and $50 buy

Budget Minecoins Packs
$101,7201,720
$203,5003,500
$254,1403,500 + 320 + 320
$508,8008,800

Buying bigger "just in case" costs real money. Needing 2,000 Minecoins means a 1,720 pack plus a 320 pack ($11.98), with 40 coins left over. The 3,500 pack would cost $19.99, which is $8 more for coins nobody has a plan for yet.

Is it worth it? How to talk about Minecoins by age

The converter turns a Marketplace price into something your child already understands: their own allowance. Here is how to use it at each age.

Talk about it

  • Ages 6 to 8: Say it in allowance, not Minecoins. "That is one week of your allowance" makes sense, "1,720 Minecoins" does not. Keep buys small and rare, and wait a day before buying.
  • Ages 9 to 12: Let them run the converter and make the call. Talk about the coins left over after a purchase, and whether a skin or world will still get played next month.
  • Ages 13 and up: Agree a monthly game budget and let them manage it, Marketplace Pass included. Ask whether a subscription is worth it compared with buying one world they really want.

Not sure what a weekly allowance should be? Our allowance calculator suggests an amount by age. Other games in the house too? The Robux to USD converter and the V-Bucks to USD converter work the same way.

How to limit Minecoin spending

Microsoft Family Safety

Buying Minecoins on minecraft.net or in the Marketplace needs a Microsoft account. Open the Family Safety app, or sign in at account.microsoft.com/family, pick your child, choose Manage spending and turn on Require approval for every purchase.

Apple Ask to Buy (iPhone and iPad)

With Family Sharing set up, open Settings, tap Family, tap your child's name, then Apps & Websites, Restrictions, Ask to Buy, and turn on Require Purchase Approval. Each in-app purchase, Minecoins included, then sends you a request to approve or decline.

Google Play purchase approvals (Android)

In the Family Link app, pick your child, then Controls, Google Play, Purchases & download approvals, and choose what needs your approval (for example, in-app purchases only). It only covers purchases made through Google Play's own billing.

Each control only sees purchases made through its own store. If your child plays on a Nintendo Switch or another console, set the spending controls on that console too.
